WMD – Weapon of Mass Disruption attack on Pakistan Armed Forces

As much as we condemn attack on Hamid Mir, we must castigate and denunciate those who with no evidence attacked Pak Army. According to Sun Tsu; “To subdue the enemy without fighting is the supreme excellence”.  Until further investigation, this incidence should be considered as a part of psychological warfare. The incidence itself can be considered as low intensity “WMD – Weapon of Mass Disruption” to disrupt and divide society, increase chaotic conditions.

Pakistan is under socio-economical and socio-psychological attack from its enemies who very much like to denuclearize the country. An undeclared war with ferocious intensity! Incidence of Hamid Mir is a notch up in an effort to keep Pakistan Army busy within and not focus on the exodus of the US and NATO from Afghanistan. This undeclared PSYOP warfare campaign is a war of the minds and nerves.  Primary target of WMD (weapon of mass disruption) is sight and sound. We have both in HM incidence – sound of GEO, JANG and DAWN and sight of HM lying in hospital. In this attack PSYOP is disseminated through audio visual means (TV), visual media, political leaders (PM and other govt officials with vested interest) and the talk show pundits paid by their handlers.  It does not matter how the WMD was sent or fired, but the message it carries and this message affect the recipients- Pakistanis.

So a word of advice for Pakistanis is what the enemy’s objective is to appeal to intelligence, reason, and emotions to get Pakistanis to think and act as the enemy desire. The enemy wants to persuade Pakistani nation to disassociate with the ONLY institution that guarantee their freedom and safety. Pakistanis as a nation must stand up against their own media by boycotting and ostracizing GEO, JANG and DAWN.  Use the American public strategy of hurting these bigots where it impact the most- the pocket book. While proscribing these media hubs, we must display positivity, have faith in our belief, and remain discipline by remembering Shaheed Salahuddin – a journalist of much higher caliber killed in Karachi in December 1994, whose killers yet to be apprehended. Salahuddin family was offered 5 lakh rupees by Nawaz Sharif but no judicial commission was announced then.

A voice from Pakistan!!!!! 'positive Pakistan'

A short but heart warming journey to Pakistan in search of positivity in the land of pure that is the target of an undeclared psychological war that is unheard before. A war of nerves and negativity with spread of promiscuity and division of society spearheaded by its own media. But even in these hard times I found a voice, a positive and determined - the voice of 'positive Pakistan' organization. Organization of Pakistani youth firmly believe to carry on the vision of Dr. Mohammad Iqbal and the message of Mohammad Ali Jinnah.  Strikingly surprising an amazing bunch of young men and women who could use every Pakistani support locally or overseas. SCHOOLING PAKISTAN

Immediately after 9/11 incidence, Pakistanis have witnessed an increased activity of global NGOs , specifically from the West in the education sector.  As if the whole Pakistani nation has plunges into the darkness of illiteracy and ignorance. That the only solution is in the magical policies and curriculum administered by these NGOs.  Pakistan is the only country in the world where its citizens are taught in a foreign language instead of their own national language.  What this foreign language has done to the Pakistani society? What have been the consequences? How it has impacted the whole nation?

LEADERSHIP CRISIS IN PAKISTAN - A presentation made to the community in spring of 2013 at Muslim Association of Puget Sound (MAPS) in Washington.

Presentation is based upon my research work on  Madrassas and their past contributions to the world.  It also investigates the root causes of Madrassa degeneration and how it can revert back to its constructive role of producing honest leaders. In the process research work looks at the role of various aspects of Madrassa specifically the role of Ulemas.

The presentation may appears to end abruptly. It is only because a discussion is needed to understand the role of Ulemas in the past during the British rule of India and role Ulemas have in Pakistan's 65 years history.  I do not claim to be an Islamic scholar but a student using critical thinking to find a solution to the current crisis of leadership in south Asia, specifically in Pakistan.  Comments are welcome.

Degenerated Madrassa and Leadership Crisis in South Asia

Very often we find ourselves unable to value differences or to connect with other cultures. Instead, we despise everything that is not familiar to us and create labels. Religion and religious associated matters are untouchable taboo.  By combining his tacit and explicit knowledge of the subject in question, Dr. Kausar conducted an outstanding study on the teaching and learning at Madrassas.  To me, this is simply fabulous and I would like to ask you to be open-minded so you can better understand his findings.

If you are willing to read this work and intellectually discuss it with the author or others, be prepared to experience a phenomenal study – a product of an interfaith teamwork.  This study reviews the Madrassa’s leadership and educational system as well as its past contributions to knowledge and learning.  It provides post 9/11 world views of Madrassas and analyzes the way this institution of learning has been portrayed in the media.  This work also provides a better understanding of the historical and geographical contribution of Madrassas.  Dr. Kausar did an outstanding job in gathering first hand information.  The interpretation and data analysis are presented in an easy to read narrative format.  Dr. Kausar Talat summarize his findings by stating that “Under the banner of ‘war on terror’ and out of frustration, [some nations] are eager to prove western hegemony over the third world.  In this zealousness, the world may be the loser as the dream of peace may fade away and not realized unless mutual respect becomes an accepted norm around the world.”

I think that you’ll find this study very intriguing and engaging.  Fasten your belt and get ready for an exciting ride as this work will take you deep into the obscure, unknown and sometimes controversial and intriguing reality of Madrassas.
